The Simmons Lab's Jack Mageto presented a poster this past September at the University of Wisconsin- Superior McNair Scholar Symposium. He worked along with Sam Freeman and Chantele Nelson this summer to explore the effects of monounsaturated fatty acids on different cancer cells lines. Their findings will help identify novel vulnerabilities in cancer cell development that can be targeted by existing drugs.
